Our "MOTION" MISSION
Our Mission
At Motion Activated Physical Therapy, we are devoted to improving the lives of each patient through a comprehensive and holistic treatment approach, in order to maximize your movement and overall health and wellness. Continuing to move through your injury, with expert guidance from a doctor of physical therapy, is going to produce the most optimal results. We will meet you where you’re at in your recovery process. Whether it’s a sprained ankle that happened yesterday, chronic back pain that you’ve had for years, or anywhere in between, we're going to come alongside you to develop a personalized, comprehensive treatment plan to get you out of pain and keep you moving, through every stage of life. We treat the whole person, not just the injury. This includes important conversations and education on sleep, nutrition, and managing stress in order to maximize recovery.
Our Philosophy
Our philosophy is that every patient is different and should be treated as such. Your time is valuable and we will make the most of every treatment session depending on your needs that day. There is no cookie cutter treatment approach. Each session will be different and progress based on your needs. Time will be spent on manual therapy to decrease the pain and then specialized exercise prescription to get you moving, as you are able and comfortable, in order to continue to lower your pain, retrain the nervous system, maximize results, and prevent re-injury. Not only will you get individualized, one on one care with a doctor of physical therapy, but we will also follow up with you in between sessions to track your success or re-evaluate if needed.

A body in motion,
stays in motion
Meet Your Doctors

Dr. Jordan Davis PT, DPT, OCS
ICE-Certified: Master Clinician
Motion Activated Physical Therapy
Owner and Physical Therapist
(402) 431-2026
My name is Dr. Jordan Davis, and I am the owner of Motion Activated Physical Therapy. I have devoted my physical therapy career to outpatient physical therapy, allowing me to become an expert in treating a wide variety of patients and orthopedic diagnoses. As a busy mom and fitness athlete, I know that rest may not be an option when you have pain or injury. This is why guided movement throughout your recovery is key.
After working in a busy physical therapy clinic for almost 10 years, I realized my patients weren’t getting the comprehensive, fitness forward care they deserved. This is why I opened Motion Activated Physical Therapy. I believe in a whole-body approach when treating patients, not just treating the injury. My approach includes hands-on manual therapy treatment, specific exercise prescription, as well as patient education in order to keep you moving forward. Sleep, nutrition, and stress management are important components of healing and I believe these should be integrated into your care. Growing up in small-town Nebraska, I know the value of meaningful relationships and earning trust with my patients. I enjoy getting to know each of my patients and building therapeutic relationships that empower them to be active participants in their care and recovery. I want to know your “why”, what specific goals are we working towards, what is important to you? I have special interest in treating back related pain, neck and headache pain, fitness athletes, and dancers.
When I’m not in the clinic, I enjoy spending time with my family, working out at my local Crossfit Gym, being outside, and cheering on the Huskers.

Dr. Jayson Henrickson PT, DPT
Motion Activated Physical Therapy
Physical Therapist
(402) 431-2026
Hello, my name is Jayson Henrickson, PT, DPT, and I am a physical therapist at Motion Activated Physical Therapy in Elkhorn, NE. Some of my many passions in life are understanding how the body works, how it performs, and how it can thrive. This curiosity led me to complete a bachelor's degree in exercise science, followed by a master's degree in exercise physiology/biomechanics, and then my doctorate of physical therapy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
I have also been a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach for over 15 years, where I have worked with clients to improve their health and achieve their goals.
As a physical therapist, my treatment philosophy is "I believe every person has the capacity for greatness. My role is to guide, challenge, and empower
them through purposeful movement - because when the body thrives, the whole person rises." In the clinic, I enjoy working with athletes, post-operative orthopedics, joint replacements, low back pain, neck pain, and geriatrics. Whether you are recovering from a surgery, looking to improve your athletic performance, or tired of constant aches and pains, I look forward to working with you to get you back to doing what you love."
Outside of the clinic, I enjoy weightlifting, yoga, woodworking, gardening, and playing guitar. I'm also an avid outdoorsman. I love to fish, hunt, camp, and hike. If you like any of these too, I will look forward to swapping stories with you.

Dr. Kristen Watson PT, DPT
Motion Activated Physical Therapy
Physical Therapist
(402) 431-2026
Hi there! My name is Kristen Watson, PT, DPT, and I am one of the new physical therapists at Motion Activated Physical Therapy. I have over 14 years of experience in the physical therapy world covering a wide spectrum of settings and diagnoses. I received my bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Exercise and Health Science from the University of Nebraska - Lincoln and then completed my Doctorate of Physical Therapy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012.

My goal for anyone I'm working with is to restore the strength, function, and quality of life they're capable of reaching to achieve their greatest potential.
While in the clinic, I enjoy working with those recovering from a neurological event or diagnosis, active adults looking to maintain their pain-free lifestyle, those going through or that have completed cancer treatments, chronic pain, post-operative orthopedics, and runners. Helping you get back to your priorities in the way you envision is what I hope to do each and every day. I'm LSVT BIG certified and also have my Level 1 Dry Needling certification.
Outside of work, you can find me trying to keep up with our three young boys and golden retriever at home. I enjoy running, weightlifting, playing in an adult soccer league with my husband, watching every sporting event possible, and trying out all the new restaurants. I also am a training coach at a local gym here in Omaha where I lead a running club and help women reach their fitness goals.

"I am feeling really good! I'm finally sleeping better again. I can finally do everyday activities without bracing before turning my head, which is amazing! I can reach in the backseat with zero pain! I'm feeling way more confident about working out again. I'm picking up weights and not absolutely hating it 🤣"
